مصلحة المخابرات السرية (SIS)، تُعرف باسم MI6، هي وكالة المخابرات الأجنبية التابعة لحكومة المملكة المتحدة، ومهمتها الأساسية هي جمع وتحليل معلومات المخابراتية البشرية في الخارج دعماً للأمن الوطني للمملكة المتحدة. مصلحة المخابرات السرية هي عضو في التجمع المخابراتي البريطاني ورئيسها يقدم تقاريره إلى وزير الخارجية.[4]

تشكلت المخابرات السرية عام 1909 كقسم تابع لمكتب الخدمة السرية متخصص في المخابرات الأجنبية، وشهد القسم نمواً كبيراً أثناء الحرب العالمية الأولى وتغير اسمه للاسم الحالي حوالي عام 1920.[5]

الأدوار الرئيسية المعلنة للمخابرات السرية هي مكافحة الإرهاب، مكافحة انتشار الأسلحة، توفير المعلومات دعماً للأمن الإلكتروني، ودعم الاستقرار فيما وراء البحار لتعطيل الأنشطة الإرهابية والإجرامية الأخرى.[6] على عكس الوكالتين الشقيقتين الرئيسيتين، الخدمة السرية (MI5) ومقرات الاتصالات الحكومية (GCHQ)، تعمل مصلحة المخابرات السرية على جمع المعلومات المخابراتية الخارجية؛ وبموجب قانون المخابرات السرية لعام 1994، يتسنى لمصلحة المخابرات السرية بتنفيذ عملياتها فقط ضد الأشخاص خارج الجزر البريطانية.[7] أثارت بعض تحركات مصلحة المخابرات السرية منذ عقد 2000 جدلاً كبيراً مثل عمليات التعذيب والتسليم الاستثنائية المزعومة.[8][9]

منذ عام 1994، يقع المقر الرئيسي لها في مبنى مصلحة المخابرات السرية في لندن، عند تقاطع بنك ساوث على نهر تيمز.[10]
