ژوماديان (الصينية المبسطة: 驻马店؛ الصينية التقليدية: 駐馬店؛ پن‌ين: Zhùmǎdiàn�؛ البريد: Chumatien؛ إنگليزية: Zhumadian) هي مدينة بمستوى محافظة في جنوب مقاطعة هـِنان، بالصين. وتحد Xinyang إلى الجنوب، Nanyang إلى الغرب، Pingdingshan إلى الشمال الغربي، لووهى إلى الشمال، Zhoukou إلى الشمال الشرقي ومقاطعة Anhui إلى الشرق.

تعدادها كان 7,230,744 في إحصاء 2010، منهم 721,678 يعيشون في المنطقة المبنية أو المنطقة العمرانية المتمثلة في مديرية يي‌تشنگ.[1]

التاريخ

Zhumadian was previously known as Yicheng, for it used to be a relay station. In the Tang Dynasty, the emperor ordered his soldiers carry lychees from Guangdong to his charming princess Yang who loved to eat lychees. And Zhumadian was one of the relay stations.

تقع تشوماديان على خط عرض 32° 18'−33° 35' شمالاً وخط طول 113° 10'−115° 12' شرقاً، باتساع أقصى شرق-غرب قدره 191.5 كم، وطول أقصى 137.5 كم من الجنوب إلى الشمال. مساحة المحافظة هي 15,083 كم²، لتحتل 8.9% من إجمالي مساحة المقاطعة. المحافظات المجاورة هي:

المناخ

Zhumadian has a four-season, monsoon-influenced humid subtropical climate (Köppen Cwa), with cold, somewhat damp, winters, and hot, humid summers. The monthly 24-hour average temperature ranges from 1.3 °C (34.3 °F) in January to 27.2 °C (81.0 °F) in July, while the annual mean is 14.86 °C (58.7 °F). More than 60% of the annual precipitation of 979 mm (38.5 in) occurs from June to September. With monthly percent possible sunshine ranging from 39% in March to 46% in four months, the city receives 1,927 hours of bright sunshine annually.

Mainly wheat, maize, peanut, sesame, green beans and tobacco.

الثقافة

Zhumadian has a rich cultural history and the birthplace of many great people in ancient times[بحاجة لمصدر]. There is an old site of Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai who are the characters in the Butterfly Lovers, a famous Chinese story.

السدود

Zhumadian has 62 different dams including Banqiao Dam within its territory. The failure of the Banqiao and Shimantan Dams in 1975, which caused more than 150,000 casualties and made more than 10 million people homeless, is considered the biggest catastrophe of its kind.

المواصلات

One of the Chinese main highways, China National Highway 107, runs through Zhumadian. Zhumadian also has its own transportation system.
