جامعة جورجتاون Georgetown University، هي جامعة بحثية خاصة في واشنطن دي سي، تأسست في 1789، وهي أقدم أقدم جامعة يسوعية كاثوليكية في الولايات المتحدة. يقع الحرم الجامعي الرئيسي للجامعة في ضاحية جورج تاون، واشنطن دي سي، ويشتهر بقاعة هيلي، من المعالم التاريخية الوطنية على الطراز الرومانسي. تضم الجامعة مركز قانوني في كاپيتول هيل ولها حرم جامعي في إيطاليا، تركيا، وقطر.

التأسيس

John Carroll published his proposals for a school at Georgetown in 1787, after the American Revolution allowed for the free practice of religion.
