فاني مندلسون Fanny Mendelssohn (ولدت 1805 وتوفيت 1947) عازفة بيانو ألمانية ومؤلفة موسيقية وشقيقة المؤلف الموسيقي فيلكس مندلسون

 حياتها

فاني مندلسون ولدت في اسرة يهودية لبرالية وموهوبة ومثقفة لكن والدها مع تشجيعه على انشطتها الموسيقية الخاصة لم يشجع على نشر او اداء عملها امام الجمهور. لذا كانت تعزف البيانو في صالون خاص في برلين حيث كتبت مقطوعاتها الغنائية التقليدية حسنة الصياغة. واشتهرت كذلك انها عزفت حينها اعمال لمؤلفين لم يكونوا تقليديين وقتها مثل يوهان سباستيان باخ وهاندل. رغم انها لها اثر هام على اخيها فيلكس مندلسون حيث ساهمت موسيقيا في عمله الأوراتوريو St Paul ما زال شهرته اكبر منها وفقط 24 مقطوعة لها نشرت ويصعب احياء موسيقاها لان معظم المخطوطات كانت في مجلدات خاصة. ادت وفاتها قبل الاوان من اصابتها بسكتة الى تحطيم فليكس الذي لم يتعافى من الصدمة ابدا.
