الكـَپوتشـيُّـون أعضاء في جماعة دينية كاثوليكية بابوية تسمى رهبنة الفراير الصغار الكبوشيين، وهي فرع من رهبنة الفرنسسيكان. ووصفوا بالكبوشيين اشتقاقًا من كلمة كبوش وهي قلنسوة طويلة ذات حافة رقيقة كان يلبسها الرهبان.

يوجد نحو 11,000 من الكبوشيين على نطاق العالم منهم نحو 900 عضو في الولايات المتحدة. وتشمل أعمال الكهنوت التدريس، والتنصير والعمل الاجتماعي. وكان الراهب الإيطالي ماتيو دا باسكيو قد أسس هذه الجماعة عام 1525م، مواصلاً تعاليم القديس فرانسيس الأسيسي في الزهد والحياة البسيطة.
