تيرنس تاو Terence Tao، (ولد 17 يوليو 1975 في أديليد جنوب أستراليا) هو عالم رياضيات أسترالي يعمل أساسا على تحليل توافقي، والمعادلات التفاضلية الجزئية ، توافيق.^[2]

له نتيجة واحدة الأكثر شهرة، بالاشتراك مع بن گرين، هو دليل على أن هناك تعاقب حسابية طويلة تعسفا من الأعداد الأولية (مبرهنة گرين-تاو). تاو هو أستاذ الرياضيات في جامعة كاليفورنيا، لوس أنجلس.
