النَّسْر الوَاقِع أو الأثافي إنگليزية: Vegacode: en is deprecated (سمي كذلك لأن العرب شبّهته بنسر قد ضمّ جناحيه إلى نفسه كأنّه قد وقع) هوأسطع نجم في كوكبة القيثارة، وهو خامس أسطع نجم في السماء. ويظهر النسر الواقع بلون أبيض مائل إلى الزرقة، وذلك لأنه ساخن جدا، إذ تبلغ درجة حرارته القطبية حوالي 9330°م. ويبعد النسر الواقع عن الأرض بنحو 25,3 سنة ضوئية. ويبلغ تألقه 37 ضعف تألق الشمس. عام 1983 م، اكتشف ساتل يعمل بالأشعة تحت الحمراء إنگليزية: Infrared Astronomical Satellite, IRAScode: en is deprecated وجود قرص أو حلقة من الغبار حول النسر الواقع.
