كهروديناميكا الكم أو الديناميكا الكهربائية الكمية. تدور نظرية علم الديناميكا الكهربائية حول تفاعل الإلكترونات والإشعاع الكهرومغنطيسي. وهي تتناول خواصّ الإلكترونات والبوزيترونات والفوتونات والتفاعلات المتبادلة بين هذه الجسيمات وتفاعلاتها مع المجالات المغنطيسية والكهربائية. فالإلكترونات ذات شحنات كهربائية سالبة، والبوزيترونات إلكترونات ذاتُ شحنات كهربائية موجبة، والفوتونات حزم صغيرة من الإشعاع يمكن اعتبارها جسيماتٍ ضوئيةً.
والفوتونات تَصْدُر عن الإلكترونات والبوزيترونات وتكونها في ظل ظروف خاصة. وتؤدي هذه التفاعلات إلى تغييرات في الشحنة والخواص الجسيمية الأخرى. وتساعد الديناميكا الكهربائية الكمية دارسي الفيزياء على التنبؤ بهذه التغيرات وتقديرها بدرجةٍ عالية من الدقّة. وقد تحقَّقَت الإسهامات الأساسية في تطوير الديناميكا الكهربائية الكمية في الأربعينيات من القرن العشرين على يد علماء الفيزياء ريتشارد فاينمان وجوليان شوينگر من الولايات المتّحدة وسين-إيتيرو توموناگا من اليابان.
