في الإنسان متوسط الحجم (في البلدان المتقدمة)، يصول طول الرجل إلى حوالي 1.7–1.8 م ويصل طول المرأة إلى1.6–1.7 م.^[1] يتحكم في حجم الإنسان الجينات الوراثية ثم النظام الغذائي. يتأثر نوع الجسم وتركيبه بعد عوامل تحدث بعد الولادة مثل النظام الغذائي والتمارين الرياضية.

التناسبات المستخدمة عند الرسم:

في الشخص المتوسط المحجم is generally 7-and-a-half heads tall (including the head).
للشخصية القياسية، used when aiming for an impression of nobility or grace, is drawn at 8 heads tall.
للشخصية العملاقة، used in the heroic for the depiction of gods and superheroes, is eight-and-a-half heads tall. Most of the additional length comes from a bigger chest and longer legs.
