شعب بيافرا الأصلي (Indigenous People of Biafra ؛ IPOB) هي منظمة انفصالية بيافرية في نيجيريا. وهدفها الرئيسي هي استعادة دولة بيافرا المستقلة في المنطقة الشرقية السابقة في نيجيريا عبر استفتاء على الاستقلال.[1] الجماعة أسسها في 2012 نامدي كانو، الناشط السياسي النيجيري البريطاني المعروف بمناداته بدعم حركة استقلال بيافرا المعاصرة.[2]
Supporters of IPOB primarily include people from the Igbo, Anang, Igbanke people ethnic groups within the former territory of Biafra.[3]. IPOB has criticized the Nigerian federal government for its poor investment, inequitable resource distribution, ethnic marginalization, and heavy military presence in the Biafran region.[3][4] The organization rose to prominence in the mid-2010s and is now the largest Biafran independence organization by membership. In recent years, it has gained significant media attention for becoming a frequent target of political crackdowns by the Nigerian government.[5]

صدامات 2020
في أغسطس 2020، ذهبت قوات الشرطة النيجيرية إلى اجتماع IPOB في إنوگو وأعدمت 21 من المدنيين الأبرياء العزل من IPOB مع مقتل ضابطي شرطة. واتهم الجانبان الآخر بإطلاق الطلقة الأولى.[6] في أعقاب الحادث ، تعهدت IPOB بالانتقام ودعت أعضائها لبدء ممارسة الدفاع عن النفس.[7] وفي أواخر سبتمبر، قـُتل ما لا يقل عن نيجيريَين أثناء صدامات مع مسلحين مجهولين في إنوگو؛ إلا أن IPOB نفت علاقتها بذلك، معلنةً أن "نحن لسنا مسلحين وليس لدينا خطط لرفع السلاح."[8]
