جون ستيوارت واسمه الكامل هو جوناثان ستيورات ليبويتز (28 نوفمبر 1962 في نيويورك) هو ممثل وكاتب ومنتج أمريكي، وهو شخصية كوميدية معروفة عالمياً خصوصاً بعد أن أصبح الشخصية صاحبة الدور الأساسي في برنامج ( ذا دايلي شو ) والذي يعتبر أحد أهم البرامج التابعة لكوميدي سنترال يعرف بأنتقاده وبشكل كوميدي للأوضاع السياسية الراهنة في برنامجه والذي هو بحد ذاته طريقة ساخرة لعرض آخر أخبار الساعة ... وكما حصل ستيوارت على الدور الأساسي في البرنامج منذ عام 1999 ولا يزال يعمل في البرنامج إلى الآن وكما حصل على الكثير من جوائز الإيمي ويعتبر إحدى الشخصيات الكوميدية المريكية المرموقة وكما كان له تاثير بارز على شخصية ستيفن كولبير والذي كان إحدى الشخصيات ضمن برنامج ذا دايلي شو
