الجيش الوطني الزيمبابوي (ZNA)، هو الفرع الرئيسي لقوات الدفوات الزيمبابوية المسئول عن العمليات العسكرية البرية. ويعتبر أكبر فرع خدمي تحت رئاسة قيادة العمليات المشتركة الزيمبابوية. ترجع أصول الجيش المعاصر إلى الجيش الروديسي، والذي تشكل ما بين 1963 و1964 بعد قيام اتحاد روديسيا ونيازالاند.[4] تأسست القيادة العليا المشتركة في مارس 1980 وتشرف على توحيد [[قوات الأمن الروديسية]، جيش التحرير الوطني الأفريقي الزيمبابوي، والجيش الثوري الشعبي الزيمبابوي، وقد تأسس الجيش الوطني الزيمبابوي رسمياً في أواخر 1980، بعد ما يقارب العام من انتهاء الحرب الأهلية الروديسية.[5]
