أوماها هي قبيلة هندية في أمريكا الشمالية من عرق السيو وكانوا يعيشون على ضفاف نهر سانت بيتر في مينيسوتا حيث عاشوا حياتهم معتمدين على الزراعة، ولكنهم أصيبوا بوباء الجدري فتركوا قراهم وارتحلوا في الغرب حتى نهر نيوبرارا في نبراسكا، وبعد العديد من الاتفاقيات والإبعاد أصبحوا يعيشون الآن في محمية في شرق نبراسكا وكان تعدادهم في بداية القرن العشرين حوالي 1200 وزاد حاليا إلى 6000.
