هوارد پايل Howard Pyle (و.5 مارس 1853 - ت.9 نوفمبر 1911) مؤلف ورسام توضيحي أمريكي، ولد فيولمنگتون، دلاوير، أمضى السنة الأخيرة من حياته وتوفي في فلورنسا، إيطاليا.
خلال 1894 بدأ تدريس الرسم التوضيحي في معهد دركسل للفنون والعلوم والصناعة (الآن جامعة دركسل)، وبعد عام 1900 أسس مدرسته الخاصة في الفن والرسم التوضيحي مدرسة هوارد پايل للفن التوضيحي.

وُلِد پايل في ولمنگتون، دلاوير، ابناً لوليام پايل ومارگرت تشرشمان پينتر. As a child, he attended private schools[2] and was interested in drawing and writing from a very young age. He was an indifferent student, but his parents encouraged him to study art, particularly his mother.[3] He studied for three years at the studio of F. A. Van der Wielen in Philadelphia,[4] and this constituted the whole of his artistic training, aside from a few lessons at the Art Students League of New York.[3]
