This template is to appear at the top of "year in the United States" pages. The current form is based on {{Year nav}}:

produces a navigational box on the right side of the page linking to relevant century, decade, and year articles in the context of United States history.

The #ifexpr lines prevent links to US years prior to 1776 or after 2010. Instead of linking to "1775 in the United States", it links to the regular 1775 page. The same goes for decades and centuries.
