زاوية العواء أو بيتا العذراء Beta Virginis اسمه التقليدي Zavijava مشتق من الاسم العربي و هو نجم في كوكبة العذراء .
زاوية العواء أضخم و أكبر كتلة من الشمس و عني بالحديد و هو غني بالعناصر الأثقل من الهيليوم ..[7]
بما أنه يقع في مسير الشمس فإنه يتعرض للخسوف بالقمر أو الكواكب و سيحدث أقرب خسوف في 11 أب 2069 بواسطة الزهرة
تبعا لنيلسون و أنجل 1998 يمكن أن يملك ثلاث عمالقة غازية في مدارات واسعة.[9] كما أنه يدور حوله قزم بني. [10]
يملك قدر ظاهري 3.61 و يبعد عن الشمس 35.6 سنة ضوئية
