دكتور خالد إرن HALİT EREN (و.1953) مؤرخ تركي والمدير العام الثاني لمركز الأبحاث للتاريخ والفنون والثقافة الإسلامية التابع لمنظمة العالم الإسلامي في اسطنبول، تركيا.

ولد خالد عام 1953 في گملجينه (كوموتيني), وتخرج من جامعة مرمرة باسطنبول عام 1976. حصل على ماجستير الفنون في التاريخ من معهد العلوم الإجتماعية بجامعة مرمرة في 1989 وعلى دكتوراه في التاريخ الحديث من معهد الدراسات التوركية في نفس الجامعة عام 1995.

التحق د. خالد إرن بإرسيكا سنة 1981 كباحث كبير ورئيس قسم المكتبة والتوثيق. وخلال سنوات قليلة اُنيط به منصب نائب المدير العام. وكان كذلك المنسق/عضو اللجنة التنظيمية لمؤتمرات وندوات إرسيكا المتعلقة بالقوقاز، آسيا الوسطى والبلقان. وشارك في مؤتمرات قمة الدول الإسلامية, والمؤتمرات الإسلامية لوزراء الخارجية والثقافة والإعلام, مؤتمرات ولجان أخرى لمنظمة العالم الإسلامي.

عـُيـِّن الدكتور خالد إرن مديراً عاماً لإرسيكا منذ 1 يناير 2005, بقرار من الأمين العام لمنظمة العالم الإسلامي وبتوصية من المجلس الحاكم لإرسيكا بعد ترشيحة من حكومة جمهورية تركيا.

وقد كان الدكتور إرن مؤسس ومدير الإتحاد التركي الإسلامي بإنگلترة (1979-1981); وعضو المجلس التنفيذي (1984-1994) ورئيس (1992-1994) المكتب المركزي لاتحاد التضامن مع أتراك تراقيا الغربية, باسطنبول; والأمين العام لمؤسسة أبحاث التاريخ والفن والثقافة الإسلامية, باسطنبول (1990- ); عضو مؤسس للجمعية التركية لتاريخ العلوم (1989- ), عضو مؤسس لمؤسسة روملي (اوروبا الشرقية) للتربية, باسطنبول (1993- ); وعضو اللجنة التحضيرية لخطة التنمية السابعة لتركيا, أنقرة (1993); عضو مؤسس (1996) ونائب رئيس (1996-1998, 2002-2004) مؤسسة تراقيا الغربية للتربية والثقافة والصحة, باسطنبول; والرئيس الثاني للاتحاد الثقافي والتضامني لأتراك اوروبا الشرقية (1997-2001); وعضو المجلس التنفيذي وثاني رؤساء المؤسسة الثقافية والتضامنية لأتراك اوروبا الشرقية (2001- ); مستشار لشئون البلقان لوزير الدولة بجمهورية تركيا (1997).

دكتور إرن يتحدث العربية والإنگليزية واليونانية ويمكنه التواصل بلغات سلاڤية وبالفارسية.
