جـــارول الاسم الحقيقي هو جيفري اتكنز Jeffery Atkins ولد عام 1976 في كوينز في نيو يورك, الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية ، أحد مغني الراب Rap و ممثل ناجع في بطولة بعض الأفلام ، يستخرج لقبه العام Ja Rule من أول حرف لكل كلمة في العبارة Jeffery Atkins Represents Unconditional Love Exists .
بدأ جارول حياته الفنيه بالتمثيل ، و لاحقا عام 1998 تعرف على بعض منتجي الراب مثل موردر انك Murder Ink الذين ينتجون لدي إم إكس و جاي زي و بعض الفنانين الكبار ، فأنتج أول اسطواناته الناجحه عام 1999 ، و أشتهر جارول بعدائه لإيمينيم و دي 12 و 50 سنت أيضا .
