بنجامين هنري لاتروب Benjamin Henry Boneval Latrobe (و.1764 - 1820). أول مهندس معماري تدرب في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية. أوجد الطراز التقليدي الجديد لمباني الحكومة الفيدرالية في واشنطن العاصمة. كما أدخل أيضًا طراز النهضة الإغريقية في الولايات المتحدة. فقد أصبح مصرف بنسلفانيا (1800م)، الذي صممه لاتروب أول مبنى في البلاد تبرز فيه عناصر العمارة الإغريقية القديمة على نطاق واسع.

وُلد لاتروب قرب ليدز بإنجلترا، وبدأ ممارسة الهندسة المعمارية في إنجلترا، لكنه انتقل إلى الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية عام 1796م.

 فيلادلفيا

وقام بتصميم مصرف بنسلفانيا في فيلادلفيا، وشبكة مياه فيلادلفيا (1801م)، التي تميزت بوجود محرك بخاري لرفع منسوب مياه نهر سكيولكل.

وفي عام 1803م قام الرئيس توماس جفرسون بتعيين لاتروب مساحًا للمباني العامة في الولايات المتحدة. وفيما بين عامي 1803 و1812م عمل لاتروب في مبنى الكونجرس الأمريكي في واشنطن العاصمة وكان مسؤولاً عن جزء كبير من تصميمه.

 نيو اورلينز

وقد صمم أيضًا مبنى الجمارك الأمريكي عام 1809م في نيو أورليانز، وعديد من المساكن الخاصة، كما ساعد جيفرسون في خططه الخاصة بجامعة فرجينيا. وفيما بين عامي 1815 و1817م قام لاتروب بإدارة إعادة بناء مبنى الكونجرس الأمريكي ومبان أخرى دمرتها حرب عام 1812م.
