أرنولد جيزيلArnold Gesell (و.1880 –ت. 1961م). عالم نفسي أمريكي اشتهر بدراساته عن سلوك الأطفال. اكتشف أن سلوك الطفل في مرحلة النمو يتبع نسقًا مميزًا في التطور. اكتشف ووصف خصائص الطفل في مراحل عمره المختلفة. طبقت أفكاره على نطاق واسع في تربية وتوجيه الأطفال. كتب جيزيل أطلس سلوك الأطفال (1934م). ولد جيزيل في ألما، بولاية وسكنسن.
