Olympus Mons

اكتشف ضمن الرحلات الفضائية الى المريخ يقع في منطقة مريخية اسمها نيكس أوليمبيكا يصل ارتفاع قمتة جبل أوليمبوس الى نحو 27 كيلو مترا,أى أعلى من قمة افرست بثلاث مرات تقريبا حتى أن عاصفة ترابية هوجاء اجتاحت المريخ سنة 1972م لم تستطع الوصول الى قمته فبدت القمة فوق الغشاء الترابى .

يبلغ قطره عند القاعدة نحو 700 كيلو متر وهو رقم كببير جدا.
