جيمس لاست (James Last، وُلِد: هانز لاست؛ ولد في 17 أبريل 1929 في بريمن - 9 يونيو 2015)^[1] موسيقي وعازف ألماني. وقائد فرقة كبيرة، أوركسترا جيمس لاست. في البداية كان عازف جاز باس (آخر معزوفاته فازت بأفضل عازف باس في ألماني كل سنة من 1950-1952. اشتهر بـ"الموسيقى الفرحة" Happy music التي جعلت الكثير من ألبوماته الأفضل مبيعاً في ألمانيا والمملكة المتحدة. 65 من ألبوماته كانت ضمن جداول الأفضل مبيعاً في المملكة المتحدة.^[2] مؤلفته "القلب السعيد Happy heart" نالت نجاحاً عالمياً بتفسيرات من أندي وليامز وپتيولا كلارك.

درس العزف في معهد اللوسيقى هيريس في مدينة فرانكفوت على الماين و بوكيبورق ، متزوج منذ عام 1955 وله ولد وبنت .
