في البشر، عضلة الساق gastrocnemius (تــُنطـَق /ˌɡæstrɒkˈniːmiəs/ أو /ˌɡæstrəˈniːmiəs/) عضلة، وتعني 'معدة الساق' (لاتينية حديثة، من اليونانية γαστήρ (گاستر) ‘معدة’ وknēmē ‘ساق’، مشيرة إلى الشكل المنتفخ of the calf), هي عضلة سطحية شديدة القوة تقع في الجزء الخلفي من الساق وتسمى كذلك الربلة calf. وتمتد من رأسيها الواقعين فوق الركبة مباشرة إلى الكعب، وتشارك في الوقوف والمشي والجري والقفز. ومع soleus muscle فإنها تشكل calf muscle. وظيفتها هي plantar flexing the foot عند مفصل الكاحل and flexing the leg عند مفصل الركبة. وفي دراسة EMG في عام 1967، خلص هرمان وبراگن أن أهم دور لها هو plantar flexing في الانقباضات الكبيرة وفي التطوير السريع للشد.
