ستيڤن وايت (عالم سياسي)
ستيڤن ليونارد وايت Stephen Leonard White (ولد 1 يوليو 1945 في دبلن، أيرلندا) عالم سياسي ومؤرخ بريطاني، وأستاذ متقاعد في جامعة گلاسگو،[1][2][3] مؤلف للعديد من المقالات والكتب عن سياسة الاتحاد السوڤيتي وروسيا.[4][3]
تخرج ستيفن وايت من كلية ترينيتي دبلن بدرجات في التاريخ والعلوم السياسية، ثم أتم دكتوراه في السياسة السوڤيتية في جامعة گلاسگو (حيث أمضى عاماً في جامعة موسكو الحكومية كطالب تبادل) and a DPhil في السياسة في كلية ولفسون، جامعة أكسفورد.[2] وقد حصل وايت على Marshall Scholarship.
تضمنت مناصبه أستاذ كرسي جيمس برايس للسياسة، مرافق مخضرم في مدرسة دراسات وسط وشرق أوروپا في جامعة گلاسگو، وأستاذ زائر في معهد السياسة التطبيقية في موسكو،[2] أستاذ مرافق للدراسات الأوروپية في جامعة جونز هوپكنز مركز بولونيا.[5]
منذ 2002 فهو زميل الجمعية الملكية في إدنبرة.[6] ومنذ 2010 أصبح زميلاً للأكاديمية البريطانية، القسم S5 العلوم السياسية: النظرية السياسية والحكم والعلاقات الدولية.[2][7]
Until 2011 he was a co-editor of The Journal of Communist Studies و Transition Politics.[3]
