Brigadier General Dienis N'Canha (also spelt Dinis Incanha and Dinis N'Tchama) is a Bissau-Guinean military officer who serves as the head of the military office of the presidency and is leading the 2025 Guinea-Bissau coup d'état.[1][2]

He was appointed the presidency's military office head (Portugese: Chefe da Casa Militar da Presidência) in February 2021 replacing General António Abel.[3] He was a Colonel then but was later promoted to Brigadier general.

In a televised announcement on 26 November 2025, N'Canha announced that the military had taken "total control" of the country and had arrested President Umaro Sissoco Embaló, as well as other leaders, and announced the establishment of the High Military Command for the Restoration of Order.[4] He stated that it would rule the country until further notice and appealed for calm among the populace. N'Canha suspended all political institutions and media outlets[5] and the electoral process, closed international borders,[6] and imposed indefinite overnight curfew.[7]

The officer cited in connection with a foiled coup plot in late October 2025 was Brigadier General Daba Nawalna (also known as Dahaba Na Walna), the director of the Cuméré Military Training Centre.
