ألفرد هيرشي يوم (و 4 ديسمبر 1908 -ت. 22 مايو ، 1997)م هو كيميائي أمريكي حاصل على جائزة نوبل في الطب في البكتيريات و الوراثة.

ولد في Owosso ، ميشيغان وحصل على درجة البكالوريوس في الكيمياء في جامعة ولاية ميشيغان في عام 1930م وحصل على الدكتوراه في الجراثيم في عام 1934م ، اتخذ موقفا بعد ذلك بوقت قصير في قسم علم الجراثيم في جامعة واشنطن في سانت لويس.
