ڤانكوڤر بالإنجليزية Vancouver ، هي مدينة كندية تقع جنوبي غرب ولاية كولومبيا البريطانية، وتعتبر أكبر جزيرة على ساحل المحيط الهادئ بشمالي أمريكا، سميت على اسم جورج فانكوفر وهي من المدن الجميله جدا . وتمتد جزيرة فانكوفر 459كم على طول الساحل الجنوبي الغربي لكندا بعرض 64 إلى 130كم وتبلغ مساحتها 31,284كم². ومن المدن الرئيسية الأخرى نانايمو وبورت ألبيرني.

وفانكوفر أكبر مدينة في ولاية كولمبيا البريطانية ويزيد تعداد سكانها عن اثنين مليون نسمة. وتعد فانكوفر من أجمل مدن العالم بالاضافة لكونها ساحلية, وسوف تقيم فيها أولمبيات عام 2010,

يصل عدد السكان في مدينة ڤانكوڤر إلى 611.869 نسمة.[1] ويصل عدد السكان في إقليم ڤانكوڤر إلأى 2.249.527 وذلك تبعا لتقديرات 2007.[2] مما يجعلها أكبر مدينة في منطقة غرب كندا وثالث أكبر 100 مدينة في كندا كلها.[3] يوجد في ڤانكوڤر تنوع إثني ويمثل 52% من سكان المدينة.[4][5] and 43% of Metro residents[6] ولديهم لغة أولى بالإضافة للغة الإنجليزية. ومن حيث كثافة السكان تعتبر مدينة ڤانكوڤر هي الرابعة بعد مدينة نيويورك ، سان فرانسيسكو ، ومكسيسكو سيتي.[7]
