سنواتها المبكرة

ولدت ديمي لأم كانت تعاني من ادمان الكحوليات وكان والدها لا يحتفظ بوظيفة له أكثر من شهرين لدرجة انه هرب وترك المنزل وديمي عمرها 13 عاما ثم انتحر وبعد وفاته اكتشفت ديمي انه ليس والدها الحقيقي وانها ابنة لزواج لم يدم سوي شهرين فقط بين أمها ورجل مدمن للكحوليات أيضا. ديمي رفضت ضمان والدتها عندما تكرر دخولها السجن بتهمة ادمان الكحوليات.

عندما بلغت ديمي مور ال18 بدأت في عمل علاقة مع الموسيقار والمطرب فريدي مور وتزوجا عام 1980 برغم فارق السن الكبير بينهما ومن هنا حصلت ديمي علي اسمها الأخير مور برغم طلاقهما عام.1984

بدأت مور العمل في ادوار صغيرة ببعض المسلسلات التليفزيونية وأول ادوارها الهامة كان في فيلم 'علاقة ليست صغيرة' عام.1984 وفي عام 1985 بدأ المخرج جويل شوماخر البحث عن بطلة لفيلمه 'حريق سانت ايلمو' وقام بعمل العديد من الاختبارات للعثور علي ما يريد الا انه رأي ديمي تتحرك في البلاتوه المجاور له في استوديوهات يونيفرسال فطلب من مساعده المشي وراءها والاتيان بها. ويصفها شوماخر بأنها فتاة تشبه خيل السباق العربي الذي يتمتع بخصوصية وروح فريدة للغاية. وتوالت نجاحاتها السينمائية وعلاقاتها المتعددة حتي تزوجت بروس ويلز عام.1990 وكانت قد وصلت للملايين في أفلامها وأصبحا ديمي وبروس من أشهر واغني الازواج بهوليوود.[15]

تزوجت أشتون كوتشر في 24 سبتمبر 2005 وأنفصلت عنه في نوفمبر 2011 وتم الطلاق في 2013.
