 حياته الشخصية

دانيال نادراً ما تحدث عن حياته الشخصية. كانت لدية علاقة دامت ست سنوات مع الممثلة الفرنسية إيزابيل أدجاني ولديهم ولد اسمه جبريل دي لويس ولد عام 1995 في نيويورك بعد أنتهاء العلاقة. جبريل حالياً يعيش مع والده في نيويورك. في عام 1996 عندما كان يعمل في الفليم المتخذ من المسرحية المحنة (البوتقة), زار دانيال منزل الكاتب أرثر ميلر حيث قابل ابنة الكاتب,ربيكا ميلر. تزوجا في نفس العام. الزوجان لديهم ابنان يقسمان وقتهم في الولايات المتحدة و إيرلندا. دانيال يحمل الجنسية البريطانية و الإيرلندية. دانيال لا أدرى.
