| Description |
English: Salisbury Playhouse ; Salisbury has had a theatrical facility near this spot since 1915, but was subject to much rebuilding and financial perils. A campaign was launched in 1974 to fund a new theatre at The Maltings and on 30th November, 1976, this playhouse was opened by no less a luminary than Sir Alec Guinness. Despite worries with money again in 1995, the theatre is due to embrace a new extension soon. |
