Description
English: When the Amiantos asbestos mine closed the enormous workings were left as a blot on the landscape of the Troödos Mountains.
  • There is now a habitat restoration project under way for the replanting of the strip mining and tailings, which may eventually restore the landscape to its former beauty, if not its former shape.
