English: Turkish Cypriot and Turkish flags and the Atatürk monument (on the right) in the boundary of Yenikent/Ortaköy neighborhoods of northern Nicosia. The Turkish Cypriot flag on the Başparmak Mountains is visible. The flags and the monument were erected by the Turkish Cypriot Civilian Defense Organization in late 2000s. The area seen on the right is busy with many shops and a shopping mall. The building seen on the left is the Bayraktar College (Bayraktar Türk Maarif Koleji). |
