Español: La Isla Grande de Chiloé es una territorio ubicado en la parte sur de Chile, caracterizado no solamente por una gran tradición cultural y gastronómica, sino también por poseer ecosistemas únicos y vulnerables.
Ante la constante amenaza de proyectos a escala industrial que quieren situarse en estas zonas, el estudio y monitoreo de la biodiversidad se vuelve un proceso de suma importancia. En la foto, la científica Camila Bravo, registra y anilla a un Carpinterito Macho (Veniliornis lignarius) como parte del Monitoreo de Aves a Largo Plazo en la Estación Biológica Senda Darwin.English: The Greater Island of Chiloé is a territory located in southern Chile, characterised not only by its cultural and gastronomic tradition, but also by its unique and vulnerable ecosystems. Due to the constant threat of potential industrial-scale projects in that area, studying and monitoring the biodiversity becomes a vital process.
