English: Grave of Syr Goronwy Daniel The tiny, almost empty, graveyard behind Capel Horeb is a modest resting place for this eminent Welshman. Sir Goronwy Hopkin Daniel (1914-2003) was a high ranking civil servant, Principal of the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, 1969-1979, and the inaugural chairman of the Welsh Fourth Channel Authority in 1982. He was also the grandson-in-law of David Lloyd George and champion of all things Welsh. After retirement he and his wife lived near Letterston. |
