| Description |
English: The flag consists of "a single green band, meaning of wealth and fertile land, consecrated and since the memorable days when it was known as the Hacienda Palmita or Black Hand, and under the hope that Florideñas accompanying people"... "The flag carried on the king star center the object of adoration of Guane culture that prevailed in this region and as a symbol of progress in this municipality". The Guane Sun's image is engraved on the eastern side of the Sun Stone. Was adopted by Decree 003 of 4 November 1977, with Mayor Carmen Cecilia Pérez Gómez.
Español: La bandera consta de "una sola franja de color verde, significado de la riqueza y fertilidad de sus tierras, consagradas así desde los memorables tiempos en que se le conoció como la Hacienda la Palmita o Mano del Negro, y en virtud de la esperanza que acompaña a las gentes Florideñas"... "La Bandera llevará en centro el astro rey, motivo de adoración de la cultura Guane, que predominó en esta región y como símbolo de progreso de este Municipio". La imagen del Sol Guane está grabada en la cara oriental de la Piedra del Sol. Fue adoptada mediante Decreto 003 de Noviembre 4 de 1977, siendo Alcaldesa doña Carmen Cecilia Pérez Gómez. |
