English: On May 16th 2017, NeuroMat hosted the conference "Mathematical Culture in Brazil: Diagnosis and Perspectives", in which several professors and researchers discussed issues pertaining to the current situation of numeracy in Brazil. Nancy Lopes Garcia is a professor of the Institute of Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science of the Campinas State University and associate research of the RIDC NeuroMat. More details here. |
