| Description | Al-Marekh Stadium, Omdurman, Sudan 1964. Designed by Abdel-Moneim Mustafa. The main concept was inspired from the use of a cost-effective method to construct a stadium that represents a landmark. The playing field level is – 4 meters while the highest level is 7 meters from the ground floor. So the concept focused on the use of the ground topography as part of the design and construction to create the stands for the lower part of the stadium. |
