| Description |
The morning of 31 January 2020 saw me cover the Salzburger Lokalbahn (SLB) network. Electrified at 1000V dc and standard gauge, until 1996, the railway had it's terminal station above ground close to Salzburg Hbf. This was then relocated to a two platform terminus under inside Salzburg Hbf. The line connects Salzburg with Lamprechtshausen, with a branch from Bürmoos to Trimmelkam which was extended in 2014 to Ostermiething. Seen here at Ostermiething on 31 January 2020 is set 54 on train 718, 08:45 Ostermiething to Bürmoos. On the right is set 41 having worked train 715, 08:05 Bürmoos to Ostermiething. Thus then worked back empty to the depot as the 'branch' sees only an hourly service from after the morning peak until lunchtime. |
