كارل هرمان برون (1 أغسطس 1862 – 20 سبتمبر 1939) كان عالم رياضيات ألماني، عُرِف بعمله في الهندسة المحدبة (انظر Brunn–Minkowski inequality) وفي نظرية العقد. Brunnian links are named after him, as his 1892 article "Über Verkettung" included examples of such links.
الحياة والعمل
وُلِد هرمان برون في روما، ونشأ في ميونخ.[1] He studied mathematics and physics at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, graduating in 1887 with the thesis Über Ovale und Eiflächen (About ovals and eggforms).[2] He habilitated in 1889.
