| Description | Gold ring from Winchester Cathedral in Winchester, England. Exhibit tag reads: "Ring, Late 13th century. Gold set with a sapphire. 105. This ring was found in the grave of Henry Woodlock, Bishop of Winchester 1305-1316. The sapphire has been pierced for suspencsion and plugged with gold. It ranks among the finest of Gothic Episcopal rings." |
