الشتات Diaspora، (من اليونانية διασπορά, "scattering, dispersion")[1] هي "حركة، هجرة، أو إقصاء شعب ما عن وطنه المؤسس أو التاريخي"[2] أو "تشتيت شعب ما لأي سبب كان بعيد عن وطنه"،[3] أو "توطين شعب ما في مكان بعيد عن وطنه".[2]
