موسيقى الحجرة
موسيقى الحجرة بالإنجليزية Chamber Music ، هي نوع من الموسيقى الكلاسيكية ، تؤدى بواسطة عدد محدود من العازفين ، و قد كانت تؤدَّى في حجرات داخل القصور ، حيث لفظ chamber يعني " الحجرة" ، و تؤدى المقطوعات الموسيقية بدون قائد مايسترو ، و بذلك يحظى كل مؤدٍ بحرية فنية أكثر، و لكن في إطار النص الموسيقي المكتوب. تلقب موسيقى الحجرة أيضا بلقب موسيقى الصالون لأنها كانت في الأصل تكتب للعزف في صالونات الأمراء.

المعنى اللفظي للكلمة يدل على أن هذه الموسيقى مصممة للعزف في غرفة أو قاعة صغيرة أمام مجموعة صغيرة من الأصدقاء أو المستمعين ولذلك سميت في وقت ما موسيقى الأصدقاء. ."[1] وبمرور الوقت وفي القرن التاسع عشر ازداد انتشارها حتى باتت تعزف في القاعات الموسيقية الضخمة أمام جمهور غفير من المستمعين.
بدأت موسيقى الحجرة حوالي عام 1750 تأخذ شكلاً مخصصاً للرباعي الوتري المؤلف من آلتي كمان و آلة فيولا و آلة تشيللو رغم انه كان لها سابقاً أشكال أخرى كأن يضاف إلى مجموعة هذه الآلات البيانو مثلاً أو بعض الآلات النفخية.
مازال الكثير من الموسيقيين يعتبرون موسيقى الحجرة كأحد أنقى أنواع الموسيقى بفضل التوازن النموذجي بين آلاتها الموسيقية ، و بما أنها تعزف عادة لأجل المتعة الشخصية بين مجموعة صغيرة من الناس ، فإنها تقدم متعة أكبر إلى محبي الموسيقى من أي نوع آخر من الموسيقى. [2]
