المحافظون الجدد إنگليزية: Neoconservatism هي مجموعة سياسية أمريكية، من اليمين المسيحي المتطرف، تؤمن بقوة أمريكا وهيمنتها على العالم, هم أيضاً جماعة ذات ميول صهيونية مغلفة بعداء شديد للعرب والمسلمين, تتألف هذه المجموعة من مفكرين إستراتيجيين، ومحاربين قدامى، ومثقفين[1].

نشأتها

أول مرة أٌستخدم فيها مسمى "المحافظين الجدد" كان في بداية العشرينات حوالي سنة 1921، أستخدم لنقد الليبراليين الذين انتقلوا إلى اليمين. أول من تبنى هذا المسمى كان ايرفين كريستل عراب المحافظين الجدد وهو والد بيل كريستل مؤسس مشروع القرن الأمريكي الجديد[2].
