حياته
درس ميشال الفلسفة، والفيلولوجيا في جامعة سوربون في باريس. أصبح بعدها كمعلم فرنسية في مصر، مانشستر، سالونيك، وجنيف. اشتغل بعدها كمحرر في دار النشر گاليمار في باريس. بين عامي 1975 و1991 عمل مدرسا لمادة الأدب الفرنسي في جامعة جنيف.
