English: Cheilomenes lunata, one of a pair, at Krugersdorp, South Africa. Placed on wood for photography where it takes a defensive position. It also discharged some drops of yellow blood, seen at left, which are toxic to vertebrates. These are released from the articulations between the tibiae and femora.[1]
