مشد صدر

مشد الصدر هو قطعة ملابس نسائية تستخدم لتغطية وشد الثدي، وأخترع مشد الصدر في أواخر القرن التاسع عشر ليحل محل الكورسيه. وتلبس النساء مشدات الصدر في جميع أنحاء العالم[بحاجة لمصدر]

وترتدي النساء مشدات الصدر لأغراض متعددة، الشد، تحسين شكل الثدي، تكبير أو تقليل حجم الثدي، أو التقليل من حركة الثدي أثناء القيام بالأنشطة المختلفة مثل التدريبات الرياضية، أو لأغراض طبية. ومعظم مشدات الصدر تم تصميمها لرفع الثديين لأعلى وتقوم حمالات المشد بمنع حركة الثديين.

وأصبح مشد الصدر من الرموز النسوية، والتي تحمل الكثير من المعاني الثقافية والسياسية. بعض المهتمين بقضايا المرأة يعتبروا مشدات الصدر رمزا لإضهاد المرأة.[1] تاريخيا عندما ترتدي الفتاة مشد الصدر لأول مرة فإنها تعتبر قد شبت عن الطوق.[2]

تاريخيا، استخدمت النساء مجموعة متنوعة من الملابس الجاهزة والأجهزة لتغطية وتثبيت ، أو رفع الثديين. ووجدت نقوش لسيدات رياضيات يرتدين مشدات صدر أو ملابس تشبه البيكيني في العقد 1400 قبل الميلاد أثناء الحضارة المينوسية. تقوم بنفس وظائف الملابس الداخلية والخارجية في الوقت نفسه. في الصين في عهد أسرة مينگ a form of foundation cloth complete with cups and straps drawn over shoulders and tied to the girth seam at the lower back called a dudou was in vogue among rich women.[3] Popularity continued into the Qing Dynasty (1644–1911). في اللغة الإنجليزية يعرفون باسم "stomach protectors" or "tummy covers".[4]

Since then, bras have replaced corsets and bra manufacture and sale has become a multi-billion-dollar industry. Over time, the emphasis on bras has largely shifted from functionality to fashion.[5][6]
