المتحف البريطاني في لندن هو أكبر متحف في المملكة المتحدة، وأحد أهم المتاحف في تاريخ وثقافة البشر، حيث يعتبر أقدم المتاحف. تأسس عام 1753 اعتماداً على مجموعات العالم الفيزيائي السير هانز سلون. افتتح في 15 يناير، 1759 في بلومزبري، في نفس مكان المتحف الحالي. يحتوي على أكثر من 13 مليون غرض من جميع القارات. وضعت العديد من التحف أسفل المتحف بسبب ضيق المساحة.

يرأس المتحف حالياً السير جون بويد، ومديره نيل مكگريگور. كأي معرض رئيسي في لندن ، الدخول مجاني، ولكن توجد أجور لدخول بعض المعارض الخاصة بصفة مؤقتة.
