جون "خوان" ريكاردو إ. كول John "Juan" Ricardo I. Cole (ولد في اكتوبر 1952 في ألبوكركه، نيو مكسيكو) هو باحث ومؤرخ أمريكي في القضايا المعاصرة في تاريخ الشرق الأوسط وجنوب آسيا. وهو أستاذ كرسي ريتشارد ميتشل الجامعي للتاريخ في جامعة مشيگن. وكمعلق على شؤون الشرق الأوسط، يظهر في الصحافة والتلفزيون، كما يدلى بآرائه أمام مجلس الشيوخ الأمريكي. وقد نشر العديد من الكتب المراجـَعة من أقرانه عن الشرق الأوسط وهو مترجم من كل من العربية و الفارسية. ومنذ سنة 2002، يحرر مدونته، Informed Comment (وكان اسمها سابقاً Informed Consent).
