تيهوانا Tijuana إحدى مدن ولاية باها كاليفورنيا المكسيكية، عدد سكانها 1,212,232 نسمة. تقع على حدود المكسيك مع الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، على مسافة 25كم إلى الجنوب من سان دييجو في ولاية كاليفورنيا.

تيهوانا مدينة عصرية ذات مبان عامة شهيرة وفنادق فخمة مترفة. ينفق السياح الأمريكيون ملايين الدولارات في تيهوانا كل عام. تشمل مزارات المدينة محلات الهدايا، والمطاعم الفاخرة، والنوادي الليلية، وملاعب مصارعة الثيران، وسباقات الخيل. من المعروف أن تيهوانا منطقة تجارة حرة حيث يستطيع المستوردون شراء أصناف مستوردة من خارج المكسيك دون دفع ضريبة استيراد مكسيكية. تنتج تيهوانا المنتجات الإلكترونية والملابس. كما أنها مركز تصدير للعنب، والطماطم، والبصل.

التسمية

Avenida Revolución has many open bars, pharmacies, and curio shops, that attract many tourists. The majority of these businesses accept the U.S. dollar and use both English and Spanish to conduct everyday business transactions

ربما يكون اسم تيهوانا مشتقًا من اسم هندي للمنطقة، أو مزرعة ماشية كبيرة تسمى تيا جوانا (بمعنى العمة جين). في بداية القرن العشرين، كانت تيهوانا قرية صغيرة يقطنها حوالي 200 نسمة. ومنذ عام 1940م نمت المدينة واتسعت مساحتها بسبب ازدهار السياحة فيها.
